Students of history can surely see that no political system is perfect. Nevertheless, America’s founders crafted through her founding documents – the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution – a democratic republic to which many oppressed peoples from around the globe have fled. We are “one nation under God.” When we cease to embrace God as our spiritual head, the fabric of our nation crumbles.

We are a nation of immigrants and that is exactly what makes us so unique. While we reflect many ethnic groups from around the world, we must sustain and protect our identity by protecting our national borders against illegal immigrants, terrorists, and undocumented individuals. I will work to enact and enforce laws that provide the needed security without being abusive. I will openly oppose any corruption or special interest that hinders our security.

Americans should not be ignorant or naïve regarding our America’s founding principles and documents. All that is necessary to return us to our American identity is knowledge of and respect for those principles.
