Immigration

Immigration & Border Security

Illegal immigration is not only an economic issue; it is a national security issue. We must secure our borders and enforce the penalties for illegal entry into the United States. This must be a national priority.

Amnesty is not an option for solving the immigration problem. That said, there will still be many cases to be resolved where deportation is not a reasonable solution. A ‘fast track’ program for legal immigration should be considered only for those who adopt the English language and the founding principles of the United States. They should learn those founding documents, work to become employable, establish themselves in the workforce, and demonstrate the ability to care for their families.

Immigrants who engage in criminal activity should be expelled from the country and placed on a watch list to prevent their return. Our correctional institutions should be emptied of all illegal immigrants immediately and, accordingly, these criminals returned to their country of origin.

We are a nation at war with a determined enemy who is willing to do whatever is necessary to destroy us.  This is the painful lesson that we learned on 9/11. We must be willing and determined to commit resources to securing our borders for our national security.
